Daniel (Fats) Taylor was born July 13,1949 in Wilmot Arkansas to the union of William Mitchell and Clara (CT) Taylor. He was the fifth of fourteen children born to this union. Daniel was educated in the public schools of Kansas City Kansas. He attended Grant Elementary, Northeast Jr. High and Sumner High School graduating in 1967. Daniel proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He was married to Lizzie Evans, together they were the proud parents of three loving children, Donnell Taylor, Sheila Taylor and Gino Taylor. He was blessed to have a third son, Malcom Taylor, who made it possible for him to claim "My Three Sons", leaving his daughter to be his one and only "Baby Girl" Daniel received Christ at an early age and always held on to his belief that Christ was the head of his life. Daniel attended Penn Valley Community college and was a licensed Cosmetologist. He graduated from the House of Heavlin Beauty College and worked briefly at Styles By Miles Beauty Salon. He later went to work and retired from the Kansas Post Office. Daniel's best attribute was his extraordinary memory. Not only could he recall events that occurred when he was as young as four years old, he could recall elementary school friends, by their first and last names. God has truly called a great Historian home. Our forever memory of him will be the love he had for his family and how he was there, ready to help whenever he could. Daniel was a very loving person, if he loved you, that love was forever.
