Danny Jackson Jr., 77, departed this life on Friday, February 21, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born on August 17, 1942 in Marshall, Missouri to Danny Jackson Sr. and Oleo M Finney. He grew up in Dalton, Missouri. He later moved to Kansas City, Missouri, attending Kansas City Public Schools, and graduated from Emanuel High School.

Danny joined the Marine Corps. on October 30, 1960 and served for 6 years.  During his time serving he was the recipient of Battery Man. He achieved the rank of Marine Corps. Expeditionary, and Riffle Sharpshooter badges.  He began working for the City of Kansas City, Missouri in Maintenance Facilities, where he worked for 30 years.

He married Helen Jackson on August 2, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri.  They were happily married for 44 years.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Danny Jackson Sr; his mother, Oleo M. Finney (Rufus); his sisters, Rosia Lee Hughes (Roland), and Mary Couthran; his brother, Kenneth Jackson; his sons, Delano Jackson and Eric Jackson; and his grandson, Raydale Hill Jr.

Danny leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Danise Jackson, Therresa Scott, and Dana Holland; his son, Bryon Edwards; his siblings, Russell E. Jackson (LaVerda), Tina R. Brooks, and Barbara Ann Short (John); nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
