Darryl Dewayne Holly Sr. 63 was called to his eternal resting place on May 14, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Darryl was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Deborah Holly; his sister, Teresa Holly; his brother, Larry McDonald; and his stepdaughter, Shalonda Jackson.
Darryl was born on December 5, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Wilfred and Deborah Holly. He was the third child born to this union.
He attended Central High School and was known by family and friends as the one they could always count on. A gifted handyman, Darryl was always there whenever something needed to be fixed, painted, or put together. Darryl also worked numerous jobs but later in life retired as a forklift operator from Amazon. Darry| will be remembered for his love of sports of all kinds, 2 stepping and playing cards, his role as a provider, protector, and motivator, and most of all, for the deep love he had for his family, his children, and his wife.
After years of friendship and finding their way back to one another, Darryl and Audrey were united in marriage on November 23, 2024, rekindling a love that would remain strong and true.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Audrey Holly; his father, Wilfred Holly; his brother, Lonnie (Cathy) Holly; his sisters, LaTichia Holly and Linda (William) McNeal; and his special niece, Brittany Holly.
He is also survived by his children: sons: Eric Hawkins (Merical), Darryl Holly Jr., Justin (Natasha) Hopkins, Christopher Holly, Daylen Holly, Aubrea Smith, and Keion Smith; daughters: Erica Hawkins, Katrina (Bryan) Vaughn, Tierrica Holly, Keturah Holly, Tasaia Holly, Karlee Holly, Chira Smith (Kevin), Audrion Jackson, and Shandrea Grear.
Darryl also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Though Darryl has departed this earthly life, his love, strength, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
