David Clare Barton

David C. Barton, 56, died tragically September 4, 2022.  he was born December 13, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, the beloved son of Clarence and Lucille H. Barton.  David attended Southeast High School.  After obtaining his GED, David discovered his gift for car detailing, he worked for decades for a local Kansas City detail shop.  David aspired to one day owning his own auto detail shop.

David had an enormous love and adoration for his parents, children, granddaughter, aunts, cousins, and friends.  He could frequently be seen by his mother's side assisting her or attending Sunday morning church service.  David enjoyed worship service and had a love of hearing the Word go forth.  He was also extremely proud to be deemed "the man" amongst his 26-female cousin crew.  David was protective of his cousins.  From childhood to adulthood, he spoke highly of his girl cousins as he would say.

David was vibrant, energetic, and very passionate about life.  He was also the self-proclaimed "king of 2-stepping".  He could always be found sharply dressed, whether suit and tie for church or geared up reppin Kansas City, he was always an eye catcher with the ladies.  He was the life of the party, he enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.  David had a smile and a laugh that filled the room, he will be deeply missed.

David was predeceased by both parents.  He is survived by his children, David C. Barton Jr, Dominique Taylor, Chantel Willis, Jasmin Taylor, and one granddaughter, Za'Niyah R. Taylor.
