Delores Irene Harris

Deloris Irene Harris passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at her home in Grandview, Missouri, at the age of 72. She was born on May 20, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Omar Lee President Sr. and Arletha Louis (Robinson) President.

Deloris was raised in Kansas City, where she attended Central High School. She later dedicated part of her career to serving others as a dietitian at Niles Home, where she worked faithfully for five years. Her compassion, work ethic, and gentle spirit made a lasting impact on those she served.

Deloris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose kindness and strength touched many lives. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a special way of making everyone around her feel welcome and loved. Deloris was introduced to Christ at an early age by her mother‑in‑law, Ms. Nevria, and carried her faith with her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Omar President Sr. and Arletha President; her husband, Andrew Harris; her sister, Shirley President; her grandson, Aundre Twan Harris-Wakefield; and her nephews, Troy President and Daron Carter.

Deloris leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Cindy Harris and Latisha Harris; her son, Andrea Harris; eight sisters; two brothers; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Deloris will be remembered for her joyful spirit, gentle heart, devotion to family, and the love she shared with everyone who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and strength will continue to live on through her family and friends.
