Deloris Reynolds, 87, was born April 24, 1939, as the 3rd of 13 children in Kansas City, Missouri, to Ennis Rollins and Lillie Fay (Mooney) Rollins. Deloris passed away May 7, 2026, at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Delores "DeeDee" Reynolds; brothers: Ennis Rollins Jr., Prett Rollins Sr., Carl Rollins, and Lonnie Rollins; sisters: Shirley King, Eva Jenkins, and LaPearl Nevils.
Deloris was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public School District. She was united in marriage to Edward Reynolds on June 1, 1957, with over 30 years of marriage. To this blessed union eight children were born.
In her early years, Deloris accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, attending Church of the Living God, under the leadership of her uncle, the late Reverend Joe Mooney. She and her siblings later attended St. Stephen Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverand Dr. Eric D. Belt. The highlight of her week was having breakfast with her siblings following church service.
Deloris was passionate about baking, she was famous for her homemade rolls, delicious cakes, cookies and pies. She enjoyed shopping and caring for her growing family. Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life, enjoying every moment they spent together. Delores lived a full life enjoying her beautiful family, close relatives and friends, with entertaining backyard picnics, birthday parties, and graduation ceremonies, accompanied by sweet blues music from her favorite artist, B.B. King.
