DeNeka was born April 4th, 1984 in Kansas City, MO to Teresa Bolden & Delbert Thompson. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Sharon Gordon, maternal grandfather Pastor JC Slaughter, paternal grandmother Ernestine Thompson, paternal grandfather Robert Thompson, great uncle Dan Bolden, great aunt Katherine Greer and three special cousins; Dasha Slaughter, and Brian Bolden , Christopher Weatherspoon. She graduated from from Excelsior Springs Technical High School with a diploma & certification in Nursing Assistance. She had a passion for caring for others so much that she pursued a career in Medical Management for over 16 yrs at Optum Rx. She accepted Christ at an early age and continued her journey with Christ into adulthood as she participated in praise dance and bible study.  She married Fredrick Collins of Mississippi February 22, 2007 and spent 15 yrs together until her departure. DeNeka’s smile could brighten anyone’s day. She was very outgoing, loved being a mother, was very family oriented and loved to cook. She was always photogenic, very stylish, and she loved hanging with her friends Tykiyah Diamond (Keke) & Keaira Giles (My G). DeNeka departed this life on May 13th, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memory. Her husband; Fredrick Collins. 3 daughters & 1 son; QuonTisha Collins, Keaira Grisby, Eesemeyon Jones, Ricky Davis |||. 3 grandchildren; Travis, Savannah, & Genesis. sisters ; Deandra Shepard,Tiara Drummer, Keilisa Thomas, Chavon Purnel, Brothers; Doral Thompson (Rishawn), Delbert Thompson Jr. (Na Kisia) Grandparent; Willie James Gordon. Godparents; Tanya Mathew-long & Kim Woods. Special Father; Johnny Johnson and a host of other uncles, aunts, family & friends.
