Denise Daniels

Denise Marie Daniels, 63, passed away peacefully, March 8, 2022 at Kansas City Hospice House.  Denise was born on February 19, 1959 to the parents of Elizabeth Ruth Thomas and William Thomas, in Kansas City, Missouri.  Denise was the 5th of 7 children.  Denise attended Central High School, but later went on to earn her GED following the birth of her beautiful daughter, Alonda.

Denise had a love of travel, was a social butterfly, could work her way around any kitchen effortlessly and valued spending quality time with her family and friends. Denise's home was Kansas City, Missouri, however she lived in Henderson, Tennessee for several years, where she still has extended family and friends. Denise worked in multiple career fields throughout the years; ranging from construction, engineering, child card and most recently, managing the seafood department at Cosentino's Price Chopper, where she notably won Employee of the Year in 2019.  Whatever Denise did, she did with passion and a magnetic spirit.

Denise was affectionately known as "Mama", Maw Maw", and "Niecy to those who held her dear.  Denise had an amazing personality; she was known for her fire, spirit, magnetic energy, sass, faith, unconditional love, unwavering support and wisdom.  Denise battled cancer for over 5 years and became the face of love, confidence, strength, and determination. Denise will be sorely missed, but her legacy will be kept alive by those who loved her dearly.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, her sister: Carol Harris; and brothers: William Daniels, Hakim As-Siddiq, and Hassan As-Siddiq. Denise is survived by her daughter: Alonda Daniels, her grandchildren: Jarelle Bryant, Jaebrielle Bryant, Jai Moore, and Aston Bolen; great-grandchildren: Jia Bryant-Johnson, Saige Moore, and Maddox Norton; and her sisters: Shirley Green and Carla Daniels.
