Dennis James Long, Sr., (Moo Moo) was born February 18, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Earlie V. Long and Bobbie Jean Long. He was preceded in death by both parents and his beloved brother Mike. Dennis entered into Eternal Rest on August 21, 2021. Dennis united in marriage to Barbara Cowans and to this union two children were born, Tameka and Dennis Long, Jr, (D.J.)

Dennis worked at Ride Away Credit Car Lot as a car porter for several years. He was excited about this job and truly enjoyed going to work everyday as he loved working on cars, a passion of his throughout his younger years. He was later employed at Cooks Hams in Martin City, Missouri. Afterwards, his health began to decline causing him to go on disability. Dennis joined Victorious Life Church in July 2012. Dennis was kind-hearted, and outspoken and he loved his family. He also liked hanging out with his brothers and his many friends, enjoying barbecues and watching sports.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memories filled with a lot of love and laughter Barbara Long, his children Tameka Jamison (Eric), Dennis Long, Jr and Donric Long; two step-daughters, LaKeshia Cowans and Tamara Stacker (Koran). His two very special grandchildren Michael Carter and Martez Carter. His sisters Martha Hoover, Winda Harden (Derrick), Leatha Cheffen, Angela Yates (Anthony), Latrina Lockett, Toi Williams (Reggie). His brothers Tyrone Lockett, Kenneth Lockett, Craig Lockett, Christopher Lockett, Eric Lockett (Amy) and Antoinio Lockett and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
