Derrick J Davis, Jr.

Derrick J. Davis, 28, passed away on August 9, 202 at 37th and Benton, in Kansas City, MO. He was born on July 12, 1992 in Kansas City, MO to Derrick Davis and Cynthia Oliver. Derrick grew up in KCMO & KCK and graduated from FL Schlagle.

Derrick began to work for Waffle House, Top Cat, Classic Cookie as a cook. Derrick loved music and to cook, he was a top chef in the kitchen. Derrick also enjoyed to BBQ; he would throw down on the grill. Derrick’s favorite day of the week was Friday, that was family day and we called it Family Fridays. Derrick is the reason for this newly started family traditions. Derrick was for unity; he was a family man and a people person. Derrick was cool, calm and had a magnetic personality which drew people to him.

He was a loving and amazing father; his daughter was his happy place and his peace Derrick is a rare gem that is irreplaceable and will truly be missed.

Derrick leaves to cherish his parents, Derrick Davis Sr., Cynnita Oliver; his daughter, DeriAna Davis; three brothers, DeAnthony Davis, Deric Davis, Isiah Davis; one sister, Trashall Davis, along with cousins, and a host of friends and family.
