Derrick DeShaun Jones Jr. (also known as Marlo), was born on May 23, 1991 in Chicago, IL to Derrick Jones Sr. (deceased), and Gerri Butler. He departed from this life on Saturday, October 22, 2016. He was 25-years- old. Derrick was a young man who lived life to the fullest with his friends and family. Derrick attended Center High School in South Kansas City, where he had a heart and love for football. Derrick showed his ambition via his educational pursuits by attending Fort Scott Community College and then transferring to Olive Harvey Community College in Chicago, IL, where he played college football. Derrick had a very good work ethic at a young age and then pursued his ethics into entrepreneurship, where he thrived to be a great businessman. Derrick was a vibrant young man who strived for success. Derrick had the biggest heart that anyone could offer someone. Everyone who knew Derrick Jr. was cognizant of his loves for his loved ones especially his daughter, Zuri Jones, and his significant other, Victoria Townsend. Derrick was preceded in death by his grandmother (Deborah Jones), his paternal father (Derrick Jones Sr.), and two uncles (Tommie Martin and Dennis Jones). He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Gerri Jackman, his stepfather, John Jackman. All five brothers, Davion White, Brandon Jones, Chris Jackman, John Jackman Jr., Chad Jackman, and one sister Brittany Jones (All of Kansas City Missouri). His grandmother: Lula Martin, his grandfather Jerry Butler(Laverne), of Atlanta, GA. (3) Uncles; Michael Price, Anthony Jones, and Patrick Moffett. (3) Nephews, (3) nieces, a host of cousins, friends, and family.
