Derwin Cornell Norton

Derwin Norton 58, passed away on October 22, 2024 at his residence in Kansas City, MO.

Derwin was born February 17, 1966 in Kansas City, KS to Alvin C. Smith and Florence Jean Norton.

He graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City MO. After high school, he found his passion in becoming a “MASTER” butcher at Mad Jack’s. He worked his way up to become a manager at Murdocks Fish Market where he was a MASTER butcher for over 30 years. He loved what he did and did what he loved.

He loved to fish, hang out with family and friends and was a great entertainer/host. and He was a real big Chiefs and Eagles fan and loved to cook. Derwin never married, he was considered a young bachelor.

He was preceded in death by both parents Alvin & Florence, maternal and paternal grandparents, and favorite cousin Marquette Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Derwin C. Norton, Jr., two brothers; Andre Wright and Errik Harris, sister LaSheika Loudermilk, a very close niece Jamie Miller, two aunties: Conzina Martin and Beverly Robinson and uncle Samuel Smith and host of nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
