Diana Dunn

Diana Dunn, affectionately known as, “Nene” by her family and friends, was born November 23, 1957. She was the 7th of 14 children born to Jiles and Mae Nell Dunn.

Nene accepted Christ at a very young age. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Nene was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public School system, graduating from Westport High School in 1977. She was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Claims Examiner for 28 years.

Nene enjoyed and loved her family. She would never miss any family event, whether it was a wedding, birthday, or the yearly float trip, she was there.

She loved to 2 step and even won a 2 Stepping contest when she was younger at a school event with her brother, Steve. Her pride and joy was her son, Ronnell. A mother’s love unconditional.

On December 5, 2023, the angels called her home.

Nene is preceded in death by her father, Jiles Dunn, Sr.; mother, Mae Nell Dunn; sisters, Sheryl Dean, and Marilyn Dunn; and brothers, Michael Dunn, and Arthur Dunn.

She leaves to celebrate her life and memory, her sons, Ronnell Dunn, and Michael Dunn; her sister, Debra Howell (Winston); 8 brothers, Jiles Dunn, Jr. (Diane), James Dunn, Steven Dunn (Debbie), David Dunn, Donald Dunn, Ronald Dunn, Richard Dunn, and John Dunn; and a host of other family and friends.
