Donald Bernard Baylis Sr. passed away on January 13, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Donald was born on January 31, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri to Royal J. Johnson and Jo Ann Baylis. Henry (Hank) Baylis I, Maternal Grandfather, Mary E. (Johnson) Alexandria, Paternal Grandmother,
Cefous Alexandria Paternal Grandfather, Lanaye Baylis (Nu Nu), niece, Carmen Winters (Peaches), Aunt, Darrell Baylis Sr. Uncle, Joseph Johnson (uncle), Donald Johnson (Uncle), and Cefous Alexandra Jr. (Uncle) all proceeded him in death.
Donald was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He attended Lincoln Academy. Donald accepted Christ at an early age at Community Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a lifelong member under Reverend Charles Bell and later Pastor Clifford Bell. Donald sang in the choir with his mother and sisters. Donald nicknames was DJ Don - Bo Bo the Clown- Karate Don and his favorite names was to be called Brother Don Sr. Donald's Talent's and hobbies: Rapper R&B and Gospel Rap.
Donald boxed for the Golden Gloves and once fought Tommy Morrison, at the Satchel Paige Stadium. Donald was a lyricist, a psalm writer, a story teller. Donald loved people, music, and valued family, great sense of humor and was very unique. Donald touched many with his heart, and especially the love he had for his Oklahoma family and the homeless men, women and children there.
Donald had a great love for Pastor Rueben Townsend and church family (The Fountain of Faith in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, fondly called the Breakfast Club the feeding ministry). Donald had a friend Michael Still who they talked deeply about William (who is responsible for turning the bible into the English language).
Michael and his Oklahoma family miss him tremendously, Donald was much loved there. Donald was attending Bible College he completed Prophecy Seminar Life skills, American Bible Academy and Overflowing Certifiable Bible Course.
Donald met the love of his life Shelly (Campbell) Baylis in 1989. To this union two children were born, Doneisha Baylis and Donald B. Baylis Jr. (DJuan). Donald also had a son Donovan Baylis from a previous relationship. Donald loved Shelley with all his heart and was looking forward in spending the rest of his life with her, their children and grandchildren.
Donald leaves behind his wife Shelley Baylis Grain Valley, Mo, his daughter: Doneisha Baylis(Mark) Richmond Mo, his sons: Donald B. Baylis Jr(Destiny) Independence Mo , and Donovan Baylis Columbia Mo, his grandchildren Drake Baylis and Lillith Baylis his mother Joann Beaver, Step father Luther Charles Beaver, father Royal J. Johnson (Helen) his brothers: Aaron L Baylis and Anthony E Baylis, his sisters: Tanika Baylis and Tamara Baylis, his Maternal Grandmother Charlene (Baylis) Lee. Maternal Uncles Donald L. Baylis Sr(Meredith). and Henry Baylis II (Sheila). Great Uncle Robert Boyles, Maternal Aunts: Favorite Auntie Renee Bennett(Clarence) Yvette Baylis-Leap, Gertrude Baylis, Nieces MarShawnna, Tierra, Monica, Nephews, Deonte, Tevontae,Calvin Jr and Quincy.; Great nieces and nephews, Paternal Uncles Aaron Johnson (Lillian), Marcus Miller, Perry Alexandria, James Alexandria (Mary), Ronald Wayne Alexandria (Rhonda), John Alexandria(Sereta), and Vincent Alexandria; Paternal Aunts: Catherine Wine Columbia Mo, Linda Faye Alexandria, Geneva Miller(Marcus), Dorothy Auzenne (Norbert.
