Donald Lagrone

Donald was born May 5, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the middle of three sons born to Bennie and Joan Lagrone. He attended J.J. Pershing Elementary and Southeast High School where he made many lifelong friends. Donald had various jobs throughout his young life, his favorite though was at Dr. Swoope Animal Hospital. While working for Dr. Swoope, he met his wife, Christy, and through this union they had one daughter, Kaylea. Donald also had an older daughter, Donshay. His kids were his everything. Donald was a very lovable and generous man. He loved life and family and would do anything for them. He was a people person and lived his life to the fullest with no fear. He had a way of making people feel special. He was a man of God and accepted Christ and was baptized at young age. Donald became ill in 2015 and fought a long hard battle with Leukemia, until God called him home on Monday, June 6, 2016. His father, Bennie and brother, Jeffrey preceded him in death. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of many. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Christy; two daughters, Kaylea Lagrone and Donshay Miles-Lagrone; mother, Joan Lagrone; two brothers, David Lagrone (the eldest) and Ronald Lagrone (his twin); one sister, Danita Mack Cockerell; two granddaughters, DaShani and Eva Golden, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
