Donna C Mitchell

Donna C. Mitchell, 63, was born April 29, 1954 in Kansas City, MO to Harold and Bertha Mitchell; her father Harold S. Mitchell, her maternal grandparents Robert and Minnie Mitchell, and her beloved aunt Juanita Carter all preceded her in death.

Donna was baptized at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate of Central High School, Kansas City, MO. She worked for St. Luke’s Hospital for 15 years after which she decided there was a time for change and started working for Western Missouri Behavioral Health, where she worked for 23 years and was still an employee until her untimely death.

Donna was a loving and caring mother, an awesome grandmother, an amazing sister, an astonishing aunt and unbelievable cousin. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews; she would always find something they could do together on her days off especially during the summer.

Donna leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Bertha Mitchell; two sons, Antwane Mitchell and Charles Mitchell of Kansas City, MO; two brother, Horace McAllister of Phoenix, AZ, and Harold Ross Mitchell (Lesa) of Kansas City, MO; five sisters, Barbara Anderson of Anaheim, CA, Detra Hayes, Loray Wise, LaRita Sisson (Michael) and Colette Dickson all of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Zanthia Mitchell, Arlandes Mitchell, Ty’Shel Mitchell, Alexis Mitchell and Jasmine Williams all of Kansas City, MO; she also leaves her significant other for over 30 years, Charles Sterling and a special cousin, Lisa Carter, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
