Dorothy Ann Hill, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at her home in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 11, 1950, in LaGrange, Georgia, to James and Margaret (Ridley) Hill. Dorothy accepted Christ at a young age and worshipped with Friendship Baptist Church. She was a loving, compassionate, and generous woman who was deeply cherished by her family and friends. Known as the "family’s grandmother", Dorothy enjoyed cooking, babysitting, and cleaning. Many family members relied on her to prepare meals and provide meticulous cleaning services for special events.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Hill; her grandparents, John Thomas Ridley and Anne Pearl Ridley; her brothers, James and Robert Hill; her sister, Debra Hill; her nephews, Mario, Willie, Raymond, and Robert; and her niece, Margaret Renee Hill.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, Alfred L. Hill; her sisters, Gloria G. Hill and Alice M. Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and loved ones.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
