Drummond V. Lamb

Drummond V. Lamb, known as “KP” to his friends, was the first of two children born to Toya Denise Lamb Charles on October 12, 1971. He was a native Kansas Citian until he moved to Wyandotte Kansas where he lived until his passing.

Drummond attended Katherine B. Richardson and Pershing public schools in Kansas City, Missouri, and ultimately received his GED from Hutchinson, KS. He loved working hard to earn what was needed to take care of his family. Drummond spent over 27 years with his partner, Tamica Dockery, as she was a special person in his life. He was known to always take care of business first, which made him late for invitations to gatherings and it became a theme that was affectionately attached to him. That along with his love of crushed ice, which he would eat four cups daily. He enjoyed shopping, cars, beautiful jewelry and name brand athletic shoes.

Drummond lived life just the way he wanted. His journey here on earth ended on August 11, 2026. He was preceded in death by his son, Skyler Jayvon Cardez Smith, grandmother, Sylilia L. Lamb Anderson, grandfather Quintly Lamb Sr., uncles, Quintly Lamb Jr., and James Lamb; aunt Deborah R. Lamb-Taylor; great aunts, Willa Jean Bennett and Verna Estelle; and great uncles, Orville Jackson, Jr., Harold Estelle, Jr., Leon Fritz, Eathan Fritz and nephew, Tyrese Cunningham.

He also leaves to cherish his memory, mother - Toya Denise Lamb Charles; sister - Tasia M. Charles; partner - Tamica Dockery; Step-brother -MarLawn Toliver; daughters -Maslasia Le’Aira Willis and Kay Neesha Dockery; sons – Darrian Flint, and DeAris Flint; aunts - Karen Green and Jackie Cunningham (Paul) Kansas City, MO; uncles - Duane Eddie Ray, Lamb (Washington, D.C.), Michael A. Lamb (Elvie) Antelope, CA; and Kenny Lamb (Karen) Suwanee, GA; grand-children - Sa’Rai J.C. Smith, Serenity J.C. Smith, Si’erra M. Smith, Jade Smith, Semaj J.C. Smith, Canaan E. Smith and Jabari Dockery; niece- RaiJane I. Turner; nephew - Vernon D. Meade, Jr.; great niece - Sa’Nova Meade; great nephew - Kyler D. Nolan; cousins - Eddie Lamb, Dennis Lamb, Daniel Lamb, Angela Taylor, Tyna Lamb, Chris Lamb Stephen Lamb, Tyrone Cunningham as well as a host of longtime friends.
