Duan Ricardo Bryant, Jr. was born February 16, 2000, in Kansas City, MO to Alice Taylor and Duan Bryant, Sr. On December 4, 2021, he departed this life with one of his daughters by his side. Duan lived his entire life in the Kansas City metropolitan area. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bert Taylor, Jr; and cousin, Stephon Cunningham, Sr.
Duan accepted Christ into his life at an early age. He was a member of Deliverance Temple C.O.G.I.C. as a child and through adulthood.
Duan was educated within the Hickman Mills C-1 School District. He attended Ingels Elementary School, Smith-Hale Middle School, and graduated with much pride from Ruskin High School in 2018.
Duan often expressed his sincere gratification and adoration for fatherhood. His children were truly his pride and joy. Initially, Duan relished being a girl dad, but recently was eager to welcome his first son. In his free time, Duan could be found spending quality time with his children. Participating in family outings, taking pictures, and cooking were some of the activities that Duan enjoyed with his children.
Duan possessed a heart of gold. His willingness to lend a helping hand for those in need was second to none. Duan loved deeply. Everyone that crossed his path experienced Duan’s genuine affection.
Duan was most recently employed at Sioux Chief as a machine operator and assembly worker.
Duan leaves to cherish his memory his children: D’Myla Bryant and Maisyn Bryant with Monica Fryer, A’laya Bryant with Daijon Moses, and Domonik Bryant with Harmonik Lawyer; his mother, Alice; his father, Duan Sr.; one brother, Austin Tilford; six sisters: Kenya Bryant, Seara Wilson, Ashsa Bryant, Marnique Bryant, Aireonna Grimes, and Mardae Bryant; nieces: Syniah Martin, Anna Belle Bryant, Ceh’lanni Lawyer, Amelia Taylor, and Fi’ora Jamerson; nephews, Keon Cushon Jr. and Cordiair Blanks; maternal grandmother, Mary Lee Taylor; paternal grandmother, Bernadette Bryant; aunts: Laurel Hill (Kahlil Sr.), Carolyn Taylor, Mardae Bryant, and Marla Collier; uncles, Bernard Bryant and Bert Taylor III.; favorite cousin, Marc Agee; special friend, Prophet Thompson, and several other family members and friends.
