Earline Johnson, 83, passed away peacefully at home in Kansas City, MO, on February 17, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1941, in Hughes, AR, to Chattie B. Bradley and Mary Bonds Bradley.
Earline grew up in Hughes, AR, and graduated from the Arkansas City Public School System. She dedicated her career to the hospitality industry, beginning as a prep cook at U Smile Stadium Inn, where she worked for 10 years. Over the course of 50 years, she worked with numerous hotel brands before retiring in 2009.
Beyond her professional life, Earline had a passion for gardening and took great pride in maintaining her yard. She married Clifton J. Johnson Sr. on June 8, 1978, in Kansas City, MO, and they shared 30 years of happiness together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chattie B. Bradley and Mary Bradley; her beloved husband, Clifton J. Johnson Sr.; her brothers, Cornelius Sanders, Johnson Bradley, and Willie B. Bradley; her sisters, Jennie V. Stewart and Eleanor Bradley; her grandchildren, Marcus Clark and Stephanie Bradley; her great-grandsons, James John-Williams, Jayvon Bradley, and Jaron Bradley; her son-in-law, Derek Storms; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Earline leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: Annie Bell Davis, Jessie Bradley, Larry Clay, Patricia Storms, James Bradley (Tabitha), Denise Bradley, Malinda Bradley, Clifton Johnson (Tameka), and Earline Johnson. She also leaves behind her honorary daughter, Pashell Carr, 22 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Earline will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, dedication, and love for her family.
