Earline Matlock

Earline Matlock was born on April 4, 1939 to Isabelle Williams and Willie Locke Sr. in Keytesville, MO. Earline was a child born into a large family of sisters and brothers. She was a student at Dunbar Elementary, and graduated from Sumner High School, both of the Kansas City Kansas Public School system.

In her childhood, Earline loved to play and loved a good time. She grew up loving to dance. Music was soothing to her. Earline was a natural homemaker. She enjoyed raising her family, and really loved and took great fulfillment with her 3 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She loved being outdoors, and planting gardens. She just started planting for this summer with her daughter Deborah.

Earline had a special love for her church family. She had a special dedication to the Lord and loved God with her heart, mind, body and soul.

Earline was preceded in death by her brothers Willie Locke Jr. and Kenneth Locke. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her daughters Jackie Hearron (Robert) and Deborah L. Gaskin (James), both of Kansas City, KS; her brothers Robert Locke (Claudia) of Kansas City, MO, Kenneth Williams (Alisa) of Kansas City, KS, Harold Lee Oliver (Denise) of Kansas City, MO, Arthur Oliver (Tiffany) of Kansas City, MO, John Lee Locke and Jimmy Lee Locke; her sisters Margaret Locke of Toney, Alabama, Barbara Taylor of Kansas City, KS, Dora Allen of Compton, CA, Denise Williams of South Dakota, Bernice Donaldson of Albuquerque, NM, Mary Evelyn Locke and Mary Louise Locke, and a very close friend Charles Burton
