Eddie Rose was born on October 16, 1931 in Pocahontas, Mississippi to the union of Charlie Adams and Marie Rose. He departed this life on Monday, November 26, 2018 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri with his wife and his daughter by his bedside. Eddie Rose accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Mt. Center Missionary Baptist Church in Flora, Mississippi. He loved family and friends and started farming at the age of 11 years old. In his early twenties he met and married Amanda Hollins and to this union three children were born, daughters; Alberta Rose, Celestine Rose, and son; Eddie Rose, Jr Eddie was preceded into death by his children Alberta and Eddie Jr., along with his brother; John Rose. It has been said that a man that work with his hands and skilled at his work, will stand before kings, and Eddie Rose was a very structured and hardworking man. He never took off from work, he believed in working overtime, and could not stand lazy men. He frowned upon men who lived off women. You didn’t have to come from his body for him to love you because he loved children family and friends. In 1961 Eddie Rose met Ms. Willie Bee Thomas, they had two children. They fell in-love and were later married and had two children from this union Ed-die Jean Rose and Eric Damon Rose. On February 14, 1965 Eddie moved his family to Kansas City, Missouri. He was a Laborer of Local Laborers Union 1290 until he retired in 1993 Eddie continued to work after he retired. Train a child in a way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. He reared his children into church. Eddie Rose was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church for over 35 years, he was member there until he passed. Ed-die Rose had a great sense of humor, loved to tease and always noticed if someone had put on weight. He loved his wife, children, stepchildren, grand-children. If you had children and he knew who you were, he would love them too. Wrestling, baseball, hunting, Sanford and Sons, Gospels, blues were some of his favorites. He wouldn’t eat everyone’s cooking but he loved his wife cooking. He didn’t allow foolishness in his home and he would always offer you a meal. His quote “get out of that bed”, “nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream”, “everybody wants to go to heaven, but they are afraid to die”. God Bless you Eddie Rose your light always shined. Eddie Rose leaves to mourn his wife; Willie Bee Rose, two children; Jean Rose, Eric Damon Rose, seven stepchildren; Delores Williams of Jackson Mississippi, Hosea Lynch (Ruby) of Michigan City, Indiana, Willie Lynch (Elizabeth) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robbie Thorpe (Perry) of Raytown, Missouri, Robert Lynch of Denver, Colorado, Berlinda Lawrence (Richard) of Florida, sisters; Desaree Seals of Flora, Mississippi, Lillie Mae Bennett of Flora, Mississippi and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin, family, and friends.
