Edker Bernard Robinson JR. affectionally known as Jay R and #1 by close friends and family was born on January 7,1968 in Kansas City, MO to Edker Bernard Robinson SR. and Donna Marie Hill Lewis.
As a child he attended Church of Christ Pentecostal where we gave his life to the Lord and sang in the church choir. Jay R received his early education in the Kansas City, MO School District, he received his GED from Job Corps and continued to earn certifications in Cement Finishing and Roofing. He began work for Vestcom as an assistant machine operator where he worked for many years. He married the love of his life, Rhonda Aaron on September 21, 1996, in Kansas City, MO and they were happily married for 25 years.
Jay R loved cooking, entertaining family and friends, fishing, shooting darts, playing pool and fell in love with playing cornhole. He lived his life in peace and harmony as he loved helping others. He had a heart that was so big and pure.
He was preceded in death by his father Edker B. Robinson SR., stepmother Betty Robinson, grandparents Elizabeth Robinson, Elmer Robinson, and Donald Newton Sr. son Clifton E. Aaron, bestfriend Mike Allen, great-aunt Greta Byers, uncles Fern, Bernard, George and Leo Robinson, aunts Maxine Robinson and Theora Bowman, nephews Deanthoni Sanders, Richie Aaron and his niece Saleia Aaron.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda Robinson, mother Donna Lewis, grandmother Norma Newton, children Nikkia Aaron, Shalone Walker and Ramon Aaron(Ronnisha), sisters Lamonya Robinson, Melva Ward, Ianthia Ward and Rayjeana Lewis;step brother Kevin Byrd(Janice); grandchildren Joschelle Aaron, De’Angela Taylor, Dontez Taylor, Ja’Dore Dunlap, Devion Thompson, Joschae Aaron, Cee’Jae Aaron, Daiza Aaron, JaQuis Birl, JaReese Birl, JaQuan Birl and Ramon Aaron Jr. Aunts Yolonda Perry, Emily West, Greta Wigfall(Samuel), Sheila Clark (Thomas) Mary Robinson; Uncles Leslie Wilkes, Lester Wilkes(Carmen) Ricky Tillman, Joe Wilkes(Saundra) and Rodney Wilkes(Charise) and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jay R departed this life on June 23,2022 in the comfort of his home filled with love surrounded by the love of his life and host of family and friends.
