Edmond Ellingburg was born on February 24, 1932 in Paris, Arkansas to the union of Eddie and Willie Bell Ellingburg. He is preceded in death by his parents; Eddie and Willie Bell Ellingburg, five brothers; Eddie Ellingburg Jr.; Willie James Ellingburg; Charles Ellingburg, Aden Ellenburg, and David Lee Ellingburg, two sisters; Elizabeth Brown, and Delta Marie Richards’s.
Edmond accepted Christ at an early age at Gary Rock AME Church in Paris, Arkansas. He was educated in the Paris Public Schools. He moved to Kansas City in 1966. He was employed by a Steel Mill Company for many years until he retired. He loved being around his family. He loved music, money, and loved playing dominos, and board games with his family.
He departed his life on February 24, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospice house in Kansas City, Missouri. He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter; Celestine Ellingburg, three sons; Carl Ellingburg (Leslie), Patrick Ellingburg, and Rodney Ellingburg, three brothers; Holsey Ellingburg of Paris Arkansas, Robert Ellingburg (Julia) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Leonard Ellingburg (Sheila) of Paris, Arkansas, four sisters; Audrey Edwards of Grandview, Missouri, Lois Leaphart of Kansas City, Missouri, Mary Wise (Bill) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Janise Orr (Robert) of Paris, Arkansas, six grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin, and special friends.
