Edna M. Bigham-Hubbert, 81, passed away on January 28, 2023, at Research Medical Center, in Kansas City Missouri. She was born on March 17, 1941, in Marlin Texas, to John Riley Bigham and Daisy Masters-Bigham. She grew up in Marlin Texas and graduated from Booker T. Washington. After high school, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she met and married Willie Lee Hubbert who preceded her in death, and together they had seven children.
She is preceded in death by her mother Daisy Masters-Bigham, father John R. Bigham, son Russell Hubbert, Brother Curtis Bigham, Sister Margie F. Norwood, Sister Dorothy Bigham-Cannon, and her grandson Raymond Porter.
She is survived by her Sons Dwayne Hubbert, Daniel A. Hubbert, and David L. Hubbert, all of Kansas City, Missouri, Leroy Hubbert of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Charles Hunter of Blue Springs, Missouri. Her daughters Paulette D. Hubbert, of Woodbridge, Virginia, Anetra K. Hubbert-Hunter of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Latasha Gleason-Hubbert of Kansas City, Missouri. Sister Paulene Kinsey and Doris J. Bigham of Decatur GA, and brother Edward Lee Bigham of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, along with a whole host of nieces, nephews, and friends of the family that adopted her as their mother. She never turned away anyone and she was affectionately known by all as mom or momma Hubbert by anyone who crossed her path in this life.
