Edward Dale Anthony Buckner affectionally known as (King) was born to the union of Edward and June M Buckner on December 1, 1963. His father and two sisters, Wilma and Valerie, maternal grand parents, Charles and Henrietta Wheeler, Paternal  Jesse and Louhanna Buckner preceded him in death. Edward was educated in the ChicagoWestern suburb district graduating from Proviso East High School on June 2, 1981. He continued his education at K.U. in Lawrence, Kansas. Edward joined Second Baptist Church in Melrose Park, Il as a kid under Pastor Mcnelty. He married Tammy (Williams) Buckner on August 31, 1991, and together they had 2 children Xavier and Quincy Buckner. He entered this marriage with a son Edward Damir Captain, and became a stepfather to Antonio Taylor. After marriage he joined Second Missionary Baptist Church under the late Pastor Donald D. Ford. After relocating to Blue Springs he joined Holy Hill Baptist Church under Pastor Lawrence Daniels. He later then joined Grace Unlimited under Pastor A.L Johnson. He was employed for four years at Second Missionary Baptist Church, and then went to Ford Motor Company in 1999 where he remained until his death. Edward departed this life on March 21, 2020, surrounded by his wife and children. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Tammy, sons Edward Damir Captain (Amanda), of Springhill, Kansas, Antonio Taylor, Xavier Buckner, and daughter Quincy Buckner, Mother, June Buckner, God son, Larry Rowell, God daughter Trinity Karim. 1 Great Aunt Elvira Collins KCMO, 1 Uncle Joe Buckner Chicago, a special mother-in-law Claudia Daniels, he was raised with 5 cousins like sisters, Deiatra, Donna, Charmaine of KCMO, Cheryl of Atlanta, GA Cynthia of Chicago, IL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
