Master Ellijah Lejuan Harris was born on March 29, 2001 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri to Carmen Dydell and Eric Harris-Edwards. Ellijah was given the nickname "Woody" by his Uncle Arthur because of his love for the "Toy Story" Character "Woody". He departed from this life on September 13, 2016. He was preceded in death by his maternal Grandmother Francine Dydell and his cousin Craig Dydell. Ellijah was a sophomore at Central High School in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School District, where he played the center and point guard positions on the School's basketball team. He also attended Melcher Elementary in the Kansas City, Missouri School District, Center Middle and Center High School in the Center School District. He was blessed with many talents, he was an excellent boxer and a great singer. By nature, he was a protector and always looked out for his family and friends. Ellijah had a kind and loving spirit, he was humorous, laid back, and had a very unique style in which he liked to dress. He was also very caring, he would give his clothes and shoes away to those of his friends who were less fortunate and being teased at school. His mother considered him her "Love Child" because his birth was planned. Ellijah was a very special young man who loved basketball and his family, he had a bright future ahead of him. At a previous basketball game, college scouts attended to watch him play. Ellijah had a smile that would light up the room and a personality that made everyone he met love him. At eight months old Ellijah was diagnosed with alopecia. Doctors said he would never grow any hair on his body, however he began to grow white hairs on his head. When elders saw him they said he was full ofwisdom. Elljah accepted Christ at an early age and sometimes attended New Life Church in Christ with his grandma Sharon Harris. He will be forever missed.
