Elmer Fugate

Elmer A. Fugate, 79, departed this life on February 9th, 2021, at Menorah Medical Center, in Overland Park. He was born September 5th, 1941 in Molina, Missouri to Ben A. Fugate and Rosie B. Fugate.

He grew up in Paris, Missouri and graduated from Paris High School. He began working for the United States Postal Service as a Mail Handler for 48 years, and retired in 2011. He was involved in Pride of the West Masonic Lodge and Club Royals Gents. He married Donna Walker on July 5th, 1978 in Las Vegas. They were happily married for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ben and Rosie Fugate; wife, Donna Fugate; son, Mister Fugate; grandson, Deron Walker; sisters, Mabel Mitchell, Lillian Tinder, Vergie Batsell, Lillie Green, Velma Long, and Anna Marie Fugate; brothers, Jessie Fugate, Robert Fugate, and James Fugate.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his daughters, Angela Fugate; Anita Fugate, Deon Walker, and Alecia Fugate(Valdosta, Georgia); sons, Dale Fugate, Eugene Walker(Melinda), Preston Scott(Minneapolis, Minnesota) and Aaron Fugate; 28 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
