Elmer Lee Seamster

Elmer L. Seamster, 69, passed away on May 9, 2022, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born on February 13, 1953, in Minden, LA to James L. Seamster and Jessie Mae Jackson- Seamster. Surrounded by family, Elmer transitioned from this life on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Elmer was a proud graduate of Sumner High School class of 1972. Immediately after graduating he chose to serve his country in the U.S. Army. Elmer was employed by Honeywell (formerly Bendix/ Allied Signal), retiring in 2013 after 32 years.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, James, and Jessie Mae; brother, Jesse L.; and sister, Luvenia Vann.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife of 44 years, Lenora; his children Malissa (Lawrence), Jason Seamster (LaNiese), Jeremy Seamster, and Maria Seamster. Also remaining are the 11 grandchildren that held his heart Phillip, Aisya, Jackson, Jillian, Nevaeh, Xavier, Gabrielle, Kyndal, Kaden, and Brandon; his siblings, Mary White (James), Mabel Brockington, Rodriquez Seamster (Azzie), Marcellus Seamster, and Marilyn Otuagoma (Jeff).
