Listen to Obituary

Emma Jean Hutchinson was born to the late Willie and Leeanna Addison of Lula, Mississippi on August 11, 1953. Emma was the 5th child of six children; a sibling to three sisters and two brothers.

Emma was an incredible daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed loving on people! Those that knew her well can attest to her presence. It would always feel like an endless summer. Her smile could light up a room where no candles were lit. Emma’s laughter would warm a home where there was an empty heart. She was fierce, but kind! Whatever she had her mind made up to do, It was no stopping her! She was a giver; generous in spirit, and as sweet as her sweet potato pies!

Emma loved the Lord and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Emma life was not short of challenges. When she lost two children; she still trusted God and believed that he doesn't make mistakes! Emma had open arms for all her twelve children. Emma taught her children to honor thou mother and father as God would have them to do. She raised them to love one another and to respect their elders. She loved her children and always made sure that everyone had what they needed. Emma enjoyed cooking for her family on Sundays. She also loved to go shopping, and she always ended with a “BANG!”

Whatever Emma sought to do, she did fully. She lived life eager to work with her hands, and when she left this world on March 21, 2021, she was holding on to God's hands!

Emma was preceded in her heavenly transition by her husband Wilbert Hutchinson Sr.; 2 children, Andre Addison, and Richa Estes. Her memories will be cherished by three sisters Leola Hollis of Dallas, Texas; Mary (Richard) Parchman of Grandview Missouri; Minnie ( Pastor Willie) Parchman of Coahoma, Mississippi. Her two brothers Willie (Ceola) Addison Jr of Chicago Illinois, and Chester (May) Addison of Coahoma, Mississippi.
