Ernestine L. Jackson

Ernestine Leota Jackson passed December 14th, 2024, at home surround by family and friends.Ernestine was born August 21st, 1943, to the union of Famymus Alexander Mcgaugh, and Vina Mary Burnett.

She was a phenomenal mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many.  She was a vital staple in her neighborhood sharing joy, laughter and love to all who met her. Sharing her heart and joy to all who were blessed to be in her presence. Ernestine worked as a caretaker, and custodian in the city of Seaside, California before moving back to Kansas City, Missouri to live the rest of her life and to raise her children. Ernestine attended Lincoln High School in Kansas City, MIssouri. Ernestine married Dwaine Jackson January 23rd, 1963. From this union came 7 children that are left behind: William Mcgaugh (Darla) of Visalia California, Dwaine Keith Jackson of KCMO, Brenda j Chinyere (Chester) of KCMO, Dwainette K. Jackson of KCMO, Lanese Jackson of KCMO, Todd A. Jackson of KCMO, Christopher V. Clayton (Aiyana) of KCMO. Ernestine leaves behind: 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great- great grandchild, a host of God appointed son’s, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dwaine Jackson, her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
