Errol A Cobbins, Sr.

Errol Alan Cobbins, Sr. was born on March 21, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the fifth child born of 8 brothers and sister to Otha B. and Louise Cobbins. He was a loving father of three children: Errol, Jr. KaTrael and LaTroyce. He confessed a hope in Christ at the age of 8 and was baptized on December 28, 1969 at Metropolitan Baptist Temple under the pastorate of Rev. Albert Lampkin. God called him into the ministry where he delivered his first sermon on January 30, 2011. He was a part of the Street Ministry, Usher Board, Board of Christian Education, Baptist Training Union, Sunday School and Singles Club Ministry and visitation of the sick and shut-in. Errol was an amazing and accomplished athlete. He attended Wyandotte High School where he dominated in most sports and still holds track records and football records. He graduated in the class of ‘79. He then went on to receive a full scholarship to Indiana State University for football and then transferred to Grambling State University. He was well known and loved by many for his loving and cheerful manner. Errol was employed with the City of Kansas City, Kansas, ADM, Tyson Foods, once his health took a turn he started employment with First Student & DS Bus Service until his passing. His father, Otha B. Cobbins preceded him in death. Errol departed this life August 27, 2018 at 6:45 a.m. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: Errol, Jr., KaTrael, LaTroyce; mother, Louise Cobbins; Debra Knowles, Dana Brown (Sandra), Daryl Brown (Lisa), Darla, Bruce (Misha), Brian (Bridgette), Lyron (Olivia), a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
