Esther Reynolds was born on October 11, 1923 to Johnny and Lucy Jones in Welty, OK. Esther was proceeded by her parents, siblings and her husband. She was the youngest of all 11 of her siblings.
Esther attended elementary school and high school in Boley, OK. Esther moved to Arizona to start her career as a Home Care Assistant. She worked in this profession for over 60 years in Missouri, California & Arizona. Her last employment was as a Foster Grandparent to children in Wichita, KS. She was a great support for each family that she worked with.
Esther was united in holy matrimony to Jack C. Reynolds 1945-1975, to this union Bonnie Gene Reynolds was born.
Esther started her Christian walk at Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Givens, and later Pastor Gray, Rev. DD Miller and Pastor Moses Brown. She later joined Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C. Bishop W.B. Henderson, she then moved to True Light C.O.G.I.C under the pastorship of elder Bill Roper, both churches in Grandview, MO.
Esther loved being around family and friends and playing cards and dominoes. She enjoyed being at family gatherings and babysitting her grand and great-grandchildren. Her great-granddaughter, Alexis, was known as the “Red Bridge Baby” throughout the entire building that she lived in. She was an encourager and a counselor to those who reached out to her. People gravitated toward her because of her smile that lit up and impacted everyone she met.
Leaves to cherish, her daughter, Bonnie Gene Reynolds-Anderson and son-in-law, James Thomas Anderson Jr.; granddaughters, Jannetta Taylor (Clinton), Janique Anderson; granddaughter-in-law, Alvina Loon; grandson, Jacque Lamont Anderson; great-granddaughters, Bonniqueca Anderson (Stanley), Darriqueca Green, Aqweela Das Neves (Lucas), Brittani Taylor (Alex), Alexis Anderson, Aaliyah Anderson, and Anya Anderson; great-grandsons, James “JD” Anderson (Cerisse), Clion Anderson, Antonio Anderson and Jacque Anderson Jr.; great-great-granddaughters, Khamori Harrison, Zhavia Anderson and Nelani Harrison; great-great-grandsons, Michael Harrison, Keone Harrison and Khali Harrison. She has a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and her Wichita church family and friends who were precious to her.
