Etta Catherine Randall Dixon was born in Temple, Texas on October 5, 1925, to the family of Nelson and Fannie Mae Randall.
She departed this life on May 9, 2026. She was the second child of three daughters.
She was affectionally called "Mama Cat" by many of her friends and relatives.
She moved to Kansas City, Missouri as a small child and was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942.
Catherine accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Dr. D.A. Holmes.
She worked for 25 years as Vile-Goller Fine Arts as a payroll accountant.
She was as big on family as she was on the Love of God.
She would do anything for anyone in need, and she prayed for everyone.
At 100 years of age, Catherine's memory was outstanding. She recalls walking from the Vine Street Baptist Church to Paseo Baptist Church.
She was united in marriage to Byron Dixon on September 14,1972.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Judi Dupree (Columbus, GA); sons, Marvin Spencer and Craig Spencer (Tina) of Kansas City, MO; granddaughters, Lisa Dupree and Angela Spencer; grandson Craig Spencer Jr.; granddaughter, Jade Spencer; and a great grandson, Logan Dupree. She leaves a host of other grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Byron Dixon, her son Fred Spencer, her daughter, Patricia Spencer, and her grandson, Derek Dupree.
