Eugene Williams ,92, passed away on December 13, 2021, at home in Kansas City, MO. Eugene was born on February 25, 1929, in Kiblah, Arkansas to K.P. Williams and Lillie Mae Williams. After Eugene completed the 8th grade, he went to work to help support his family.
Eugene began work for Rohr Construction Company as a Laborer where he worked for 10 years. Eugene started his own construction company in 1971 where he worked until his death. Eugene was married to Leo Williams on May 27, 1950. They were happily married for 71 years. Eugene joined the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in 1983 under the leadership of Pastor Earl Abel. As a member of Palestine, he enjoyed working on the Sunday Morning Repast Committee until his health no longer permitted.
Eugene was preceded in death by K.P. and Lillie Mae Williams; his wife, Leo Williams; brothers, Fred Simington, Sam Williams, Urial Williams, Ardentry Williams, Roosevelt Williams, Henry Lewis Williams, and Arthur Lee Williams; sister, Savannah Evans; and great-grandson, Eugene D. Williams, Sr.
Eugene is survived by his daughter, Charlotte L. Williams; son, Nylie Eugene Williams; brothers, Birl Williams, and Earl Williams; granddaughters, Michelle C. Brown, Nicole Williams, Neetra L. Williams, and Tiffani C. Williams; grandson, Phillip Williams; daughter-in-law, Rosalind Williams; 9 great-grandchildren; 25 great great-grandchildren; a long-time friend, Johnny Betts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
