Evelyn L. Wallace

Evelyn Wallace was born June 6, 1944, in Charleston, Missouri. She was the twelfth child born to the union of Rev. Ernest Wallace and Safrona McMath.

Evelyn attended Mercy Seat Baptist Church where she sang in the children’s choir.

Evelyn attended Lincoln High School.

Evelyn had two children: Sonya Marie Wallace (Miles) and Ray Brown Wallace, both of her children attended Lincoln High School in Charleston.

Evelyn relocated to Kansas City to live with her son and daughter-in-law for better health care.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, all five brothers: Ernest Wallace Jr., Flozell Wallace, Robert Lee Wallace, Ivory Lee Wallace, and Cozy Wallace; four sisters: Sytoria Payne, Anna Lee Johnson, Gustava Purnell, and Ida Meeks; and one daughter, Sonya Marie Miles.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Ray Brown Wallace; three sisters; Irma Taylor, Glendora Sazone, Artoria Cason (Charles), grandkids and great grandkids.
