Faith Bernice Scroggins, affectionately known as “Peaches”, was born on July 11, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri to William Harold Scroggins and Birdie Bernice Scroggins. She was the youngest of four children. Her parents, William Harold Scroggins and Birdie Bernice Scroggins as well as two brothers, Steven Gerard Scroggins and Leon Harold Scroggins preceded her in death.
During her childhood years she was a member of Paseo Baptist Church where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. Later in life she became a member of Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Kansas City, Mo.
Faith grew up in Kansas City Mo. where she attended Sanford B. Ladd Elementary, Central Junior and Senior High Schools. She graduated from Central High School in 1979. She later attended Penn Valley Community College where she studied nursing.
Faith dedicated her life to working with developmentally disabled persons. She was employed by New Horizons and House of Care until her retirement. Faith knew no strangers and treated everyone she met with the utmost respect. Because of Faith’s benevolent spirit, she often gave money, clothing, and food to strangers. She also never missed grandparent’s day at the school and loved to attend wrestling matches with her grandkids. Faith loved to embark on outings with family and friends. She will forever be remembered as an inspiring caregiver, loving mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend. She will be sorely missed by her family, former clients, and friends.
