Felix Tarsus George passed away on January 4, 2026, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. He was born on December 26, 1946, in Center Ridge, Arkansas to the late Minor and Chaney George. He was the eighth born of ten children.
Felix grew up in Center Ridge, Arkansas. He graduated from Menifee CCTS High School (Good Ole Class of 65, which he was very proud of). After high school he moved to Benton, Arkansas where he resided with his older sister, Joe Altha (George) Pledger and his brother-in-love, John D. Pledger. He lived with them for a year until he relocated to Kansas City, Missouri in 1966. He then was drafted to the United States Army in 1967 where he served in the Vietnam War. After a 2-year stint and an Honorable Discharge, Felix moved back to Kansas City where he married the love of his life, Morylon Antionette "Annette" Foster-George.
To this union three children were born; two sons: Derrick Lynn George and Felix Terrell George; one daughter, whom he spoiled rotten and was the joy of his life, Felecia Tiwayia George.
Felix was a man of God. He served in the church at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church as a Trustee and sang with The Community Male Chorus Choir.
Felix worked for Allied Signal for 28 years as a Millwright, he was a hard worker and loved his trade as a Carpenter. He would leave his full-time job come home and rest for an hour before heading out to do his side jobs, he loved working with his hands and building things. He had a dream of building his home for his family and he did just that. He was a Great Provider, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
Felix was no stranger to anyone, he would give you the shirt off his back, but he also stood on business if he said it, he meant it. He also was one of the most funniest persons to be around, we all will miss that.
He was preceded into death by his parents, Minor Wallace George and Chaney Ann Elizabeth (Morris) George; two brothers: Minor "Sonny" George Jr. and Morris "Leon" George; four sisters: Lois George, Doris George-McDaniel, Joe Altha George-Pledger and Maxine Morris.
Left to cherish Felix's precious memories: his devoted wife of 56 years, Morylon "Annette" George; his children: Derrick Lynn George, Felecia Tiwayia George, and Felix Terrell George; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters: Elizabeth George-Gibbs and Quitetta "Retta" George-Canady (Arthur); one brother, Randy George (Linda); a great and best friend, Dennis Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
