Florestine Paulette Cothran Marbley was born September 28, 1962 in Palestine, Arkansas to Mr. Virgil Cothran and the late Mrs. Catherine Quarrells Cothran. She was raised by her grandparents, who preceded her in death, Reverend Johnny Quarrells and Mrs. Cebell Beasley Quarrells. She was called to eternal rest on February 20, 2018 at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri.

She accepted Christ and was baptized in Palestine under the leadership of Reverend J. H. Thirdkill and was a member of Hedge Providence Baptist Church until relocating to Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, where she was a choir member and served faithfully until she was called home. She was known by her friends and family as Stine or Flo.

Stine graduated from Palestine High School in Palestine, Arkansas in May, 1980 where she was honored as a member of the all-state team and all-district team in basketball. She attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello on a full basketball scholarship that same year and was honored as am member of the all-conference team. After college she moved to Kansas City where she met and married the love of her life and best friend Ben Arthur Marbley. She worked as a supervisor at AT&T for many years before she retired. After retirement she continued to work and volunteered her services helping others advance themselves. She was caring, concerned, loving and continually reached out to family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving devoted husband Ben Marbley, two sons: Michael L. Cothran (Taffy) of Maryville, Missouri, Benard Cothran (BJ) of Kansas City, Missouri, father: Virgil Cothran, Sr of Kansas City, Missouri, 2 sisters: Annette Patton of Cleveland, Ohio, Lisa Rockett of Kansas City, Missouri, 1 brother: Virgil Cothran, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, 2 grandchildren: Jaideci and Michael of Maryville, Missouri. , 4 uncles, 4 aunts, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, along with a special cousin “brother” Ladarrell Quarrells (Yolanda) of St. Louis, Missouri.
