Frankie Bea McKinzy, 67, was born January 28, 1955, to the union of D.L and Elmer McKinzy in Darling, Mississippi. Her parents; paternal grandparents, Otis and Classie McKinzy; maternal grandmother, Frankie B Brodger; two brothers, David McKinzy, and J.L. McKinzy; two sisters, Ethel Jackson, and Denise McKinzy; six uncles, Robert (Uncle Bay Bro) Reese, L. C., Jessie, D. L., Sammie, and Ivory McKinzy; one aunt, Lucy B Qualls; and one niece, Cynthia Jackson, all precede her in death.
Frankie accepted Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age and became a member of Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ, under leadership of Pastor Ruby Mitchell. After her passing, Frankie united with Jesus Is the Way Community Church under the leadership of Bishop Sammie L. Williams. Frankie loved to praise and worship the Lord. She also served in the church and later became an Evangelist. Frankie had a heart that was pure and filled with gold. She loved to spend time with her loved ones, but most of all helping others who were in need. Frankie had the crying shoulder and listening ear anyone could ask for and was always willing to pray for and with you. Frankie was educated in the Kansas City, MO School district and attended Manual High School. Later, she pursued working as a pre-school teacher for the Kansas City school district for 20 plus years while at the same time working a second job as an Environmental Service Worker for 15 plus years. After retiring in 2020 Frankie spent a lot more time with her family. She was a compassionate and loving woman and will be deeply missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Marvin (Larinda Vasser) McKinzy, Roy McKinzy, and Dillard (Latresha Allen) Jackson; one daughter, Neatrice McKinzy; one sister, Beatrice McKinzy; aunts, Ola Phillips, and Essie Pittman; one uncle, Otis (Earlene) McKinzy; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and three special friends, Rosie Vasser, Jacqueline O’Connell, and Beverly Kelly Brown.
