Franklin Mcelroy

Franklin McElroy age 70, passed away on July 2, 2023, at home in Kansas City, MO. He was born on October 13, 1953, in Smackover, AR to Joe McElroy Jr. and Nettie Lee McElroy. He was baptized and a member of 1st Baptist Church of Smackover, AR. He graduated from Smackover High School in1971. After high school he attended Hot Springs School of Upholstery in Hot Springs, AR. He later moved to Kansas City, MO. where he worked as an upholsterer for various companies for many years and was a member of Jamison Temple Church in Kansas City, MO.

Franklin was that person who never met a stranger, always had a smile, could keep you laughing, and was loved by many.

He was preceded in death by parents Nettie and Joe McElroy, siblings Bennie Bradford, Mary Virginia Comithier, nephews Mark Bradford, Joseph Bradford, Timothy Bradford, Damond Jordan, and Leon Bradford.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sister gloria Jackson (Roy) Kansas City, Mo, three brothers Kendrick McElroy (Carolyn) Smackover, AR, Larry McElroy (Jackie) Pensacola, Fl, Gary McElroy Louisiana, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
