Frederick "Tyrone" Gant

Frederick Tyrone Gant, age 73, affectionately known as, "Tyrone", passed away on July 30, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on January 10, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana, to his parents, Cecil Peeler and Laura Ruth Gant.

Tyrone was not afraid of taking risk and was dedicated to completing whatever he set out to do. He was always well-dressed, with the brightest smile, which would light up every room.

Tyrone had a big heart. He was very giving, protective, and lots of fun to be around. He loved his family dearly and was a good man; admired and loved by many. Most of all, Tyrone was a loving son, wonderful brother, proud father, cool uncle, cherished partner, and dedicated friend. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Peeler and Laura Ruth Gant; his son, Frederick Gant; and a daughter, Kimberly Jackson.

Left to cherish Tyrone's memory: one daughter, Tyeila Gant; three grandchildren: Christopher Jackson, Keira Jackson and Budda; two sisters, Cassandra A. Perry and Connie R. Powell; four brothers: Roderick W. Medina, Alvin E. Medina, Maurice Medina and Joseph C. Medina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and other loving family and friends.

We the family of Frederick "Tyrone" Gant wish to extend our sincere gratitude and say, "Thank You!", to everyone for the many comforting words, prayers, visits and expressions of kindness, during our brother's final transition. We ask for your continued prayers as we privately celebrate Tyrone's Homegoing...
