Gary Dean Cobbs, Sr., 51, of Kansas City, MO, passed Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born in Pine Bluff, AR to the late George Cobbs, Sr. and Edna Lee (Anthony) Cobbs. He confessed his belief in Jesus Christ at an early age at Centennial Baptist Church (Indiana Street) under the leadership of the late Rev. S. B. Scott. After graduating from Pine Bluff Senior High in 1982, Gary moved to Kansas City, MO attending Longview College thereafter. Gary loved his only Son, Gary Jr., and enjoyed spending time with him and worked very hard in taking care of him. He was Greatly Loved by his Son, Family, Co-workers of the KC U.S. Postal Service, KC Chiefs' Games Staff, and Many friends across many states. He came from a sports family and a Spiritual mother, so this mix gave him active energy for life, family, people, and a DYNAMIC Smile. Growing up in Pine Bluff, he played basketball for recreation while attracting the attention of the High School coaches due to his great abilities. He also loved spending time at the Twins and Angels games where his nephew played professional baseball. He loved all people, especially nephews and nieces. Gary also loved all types of music and movies, which he often shared. He always pushed for peace. He will be MISSED DEARLY! He leaves to mourn his passing, one Son, Gary Dean Cobbs, Jr., ex-wife Natasha Cobbs, four brothers, George (Virginia) Cobbs, Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Robert (Almetrius) Cobbs, Sr. of Pine Bluff, AR, (His Loving Twin) Jerry (Gwen) Cobbs, Sr. of Kansas City, MO, Jeromeo Cobbs, Sr. of Frisco, TX; Sisters, Shirley Hunter of Pine Bluff, AR, Brenda Cobbs LaGrone of Dallas, TX, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. His Loving Spirit lives on in our Hearts. Services will be held at 11:00am visitation 9-11am Saturday 5-14-16 at Good Samaritan Baptist Church 5337 Bellefontaine Ave KCMO 64130 burial Twelve Gates Memorial Gardens
