Maud “Genoa” Robertson-Dixon-Hightower was born on November 8, 1946, to Eugena Albert Roberson and Rebecca Lela Knight-Robertson in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Eugene Roberson, Jr., Lobeck Timothy Roberson, James Robertson, Curtis Robertson, Edgar Robertson, John Q Robertson, and two sisters, Maylee Blackwell and Velma Williams. Also preceding her in death is her son, Elcanyo Robertson Dixon Sr.

Genola attended school in the Guthrie school district, where she embraced Christianity at an early age. After graduating from Favor High in Guthrie, she relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, marrying Robert W Dixon in 1964. They later moved to California, where she pursued a fulfilling career as a respiratory therapist until her retirement.

Known for her love of cooking and spending quality time with family and friends, Genola's kindness and words of wisdom touched the hearts of all who knew her. She peacefully departed this earthly life on March 3, 2024, leaving a void that will be deeply felt.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Dixon (Walter) of Kansas City, Missouri, three sons: Andre Keith Dixon (Malinda) of Arizona, Delmar Dixon (Stephanie) of Oklahoma, and Erycke Dixon of Kansas City, MO. Sister Agnes (Bettye) Williams (Richard) of Kansas City, MO. Genola also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless other relatives and friends.

In celebration of her life, let us remember Genola for the warmth she brought to our lives and the love she shared with everyone around her. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
