George Madison Kitchen III of Grandview, Missouri, sadly passed away at home on August 25, 2023, at the age of 72. George was born on July 8,1951 to Georgie and Merriam (Thomas) Kitchen in Kansas City, Kansas.
George grew up in Kansas City, KS with his brothers and sisters. He attended Job Corp in Salt Lake City, Utah until he became homesick and returned home. He always had a love for cooking and obtained a long career as a Chef. He worked at Kingswood Senior Living Community until he retired in December 2017. While working at Kingswood he met his current wife Sharon (Prewitt) Kitchen whom he married in 2006.
He was a devoted brother, father, husband, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. George enjoyed cooking and entertaining his family and friends for Holidays and Sundays with BBQ’s or a great home cooked meal until he grew closer to retirement.
George’s parents Georgie & Merriam Kitchen, his first wife Mae Katherine Williams-Kitchen, his son Antonio Pilcher, his stepchildren: LaTasha Prewitt & Ephraim Prewitt and siblings: Byron Kitchen, Francis Parker, Donald Kitchen, and Otis Moran preceded him in death.
He leaves to celebrate his life, wife Sharon Kitchen of Grandview, MO, his children: Felicia Fears (Jaccard) of Dallas, TX, Tanika Williams-Stanford (Anthony) of Raytown, MO, George M. Kitchen IV, Shaneeta Watson, Sharita Kitchen of Kansas City, MO, Sparkle Kitchen and George Kitchen of Belton, MO, Monterrell Nelson (Nikki) of Kansas City, MO, his stepson Ronnie Prewitt. His siblings: Dorothy Groves, Merle Kitchen of Missouri, Louis Moran of Colorado, Gerald Wayne Kitchen of Missouri, Sandra Kitchen of Kansas, LaTonya Cook of Illinois. A host of grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, family & friends.
