Georgia M. (Dabner) Jackson “M’Dear” peacefully passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 104 years old in Belton, MO. She was born on June 19, 1920, in Fairfield, IA to William Dabner and Ida Mae (Hickman) Dabner. She was the youngest of thirteen siblings who all proceeded her in death.
She grew up in Fairfield, IA and graduated from Fairfield High School. She met Julius Conrad (J.C.) Jackson, and they united in marriage in 1940 in Quincy, IL. Three years later, they moved to Kansas City, MO. Georgia attended Madam C. J. Walker School of Beauty. For many years, she worked as an elevator operator at Emery, Bird, Thayer and Company (EBT). Later she retired from the IRS as a microfilm examiner.
Georgia was an active lifetime member of Gregg Tabernacle A.M.E. Church. She served as President of the Usher Board and as a member of the Top Ten Club. She loved her church dearly. Georgia was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her hobbies were baking and hosting family & friends.
Julius C. Jackson (Husband), 3 sons - Milton Jackson, Paul Jackson, Darryl R. Jackson, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren all proceeded Georgia in death. She leaves cherishing, 1 son - Marvin Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, 2 daughters - Thelma V. Johnson of Kansas City, MO and Marquita Cavole of Belton, MO., 25 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great-grandchild and a host of other nieces, nephews and family members located in various cities across the United States.
