Georgia Ann Woodard, 69 of Belton, MO passed away peacefully in her home Monday, August 14, 2017 surrounded by family and loved ones.
On December 8, 1947 the mission of Georgia Ann Woodard began. She was the third of six girls and two boys. Georgia, affectionately known as “Ann” to all those who knew and loved her, was a loving and outgoing person. She attended the Kansas City, MO public schools where she was one of the greatest cheerleaders for Southeast High School’s class of 1966. She then furthered her education at Lincoln University, and soon thereafter married and moved to New Jersey where she raised two beautiful daughters that brought her great joy.
She worked more than 40 plus years as a payroll professional before her retiring. Upon retirement in September 2015 she moved back to Kansas City, MO.
She accepted the Lord at an early age. She was a faithful member of both St. Mathis in Somerset, NJ and St. Sabina in Belton, MO.
She is survived by two daughters Gennifer Armstrong and her husband Isaac of Grandview, MO; Shannon DeGrasse of Hillsborough, NJ; five grandsons, Dashan, Jordan, Brian Jr., Preston, Dionte’; one great granddaughter, Lilliana; four sisters Josiane, Sherry, Wanda, Paula; and one brother, Harold Jeans and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Elois Jeans, Stepfather Walter Jeans, father Samuel Watson, sister Joyce Chacon, and two granddaughters Queshan Amber and Aaron Marie.
