Gerald G. Nevels, Jr.

Gerald Nevels Jr., age 34, was born on September 28, 1991, in Kansas City, Missouri to Gerald Glenn Nevels Sr. and Elonda Edwards. Gerald passed away on May 13, 2026, at 30th and Benton in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was deeply loved from the very beginning and brought joy to the lives of his family in a way that words can’t express.

Gerald accepted Christ at a young age and was raised surrounded by love, family and friends who cherished him.

Gerald graduated from Hickman Mills High School, then attended one year at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri and an additional two years at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.

Gerald worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for four years.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Nevels Sr., maternal grandmother, Ruby Brown, an aunt, Twana Smith, his paternal grandmother, Leatrice Nevels, and grandfather, Charlie Nevels.

Gerald is survived by his mother, Elonda Edwards, siblings, Brandon Robins, Bryant Edwards Jr., and Avia Ramsey, grandmother, Sherry Edwards and grandfather, Daryl Brown.
