Geraldine Elliott Robinson was born January 13, 1922 to Henry and Rosetta Elliott in Muscogee, Oklahoma. She attended Rosenwald School and Booker T Washington High School, where she met the love of her life Jewel Robinson. In 1940 they wed and had a beautiful baby boy. They named him Richard Robinson. In 1941, she relocated to Witchita, KS to be with her mother and her family. While there, she worked at Boeing Aircraft Company. In 1953, she relocated to St. Joseph, Missouri and stayed there for 52 years until she retired from Kmart. She joined St. Francis Baptist Church and being playing the piano and organ. In 1991, Jerry helped to make their dream come true, by founding the Black Archives of St. Joseph and reaching her dream by opening it in 1993 until present. In 2001, Geraldine moved to Kansas City to be closer to her only son and family. During that time she continued to travel and spending time with her family. She moved in her family when she fall to her sickness and stayed with her son and daughter in-law until her death. She was a very warm person, and very in tune with her genealogy. She loved gardening, fashion, black history. She was a self-taught reader and pianist and organist. She being organized such as how to set the table properly for many types of occasions, table manners, social etiquette. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Jewel Robinson; son Richard Robinson; mother Rosetta (Rentie) Elliott, father Henry Elliott, sister Hellen (Elliott) Neal, brother Horace Elliott, Paternal and Maternal Grandparent; two great grandsons Jay Jackson and Corey Owens. She leaves to cherish her memory, Daughter-In-law Phatamurs Robinson; three granddaughters Stephanie Owens, Knea Robinson-Hart, Shavon Robinson; great grandchildren James, Matthew, Kevon, Alexis, Jewel, Nosaj, Brooklyn and 2 great-great grandchildren Brendon and Chastity; host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews in Texas, Michigan and New Jersey, and numerous cousins, colleagues and friends.
