Gloria Moore

Gloria Jean Moore was the 7th child of eight, born on April 26, 1954, to Elige E. Moore and Ruth Mae Moore in Kansas City, Missouri. Gloria grew up in Kansas City, Missouri where she attended W.W. Yates Elementary School and Manual High School. She moved on from high school into a Nursing program where she was able to obtain education and certification as a LPN and Cardiac Technician. She worked as a nurse for many years at Osteopathic/University Hospital of Kansas City until the doors closed. She continued to work in the medical field for a few years before becoming a mail sorter at Docusort. She was led to Niles Home for Children where she developed a passion to support, develop and work with troubled youth. community. Gloria was an avid reader and great supporter of her community. She loved spending time with family and love ones. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents: Elige E. Moore and Ruth M. Moore; sisters, Deborah A. Moore, Rosie L. Garry, Clidia J. Henderson; her brother, Charles Moore; and a grandchild, Imani Yahya Bryant. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Robert K. Bryant (Danitra), Bennie C. Terrell (Ureasta), Joi P. King; a sister, Maxine Moore; two brothers, Edward Moore(Gwendolyn), Larry D. Moore; ten grandchildren, Asia, Faith, Assata, Joseph, Amir, Amari, Hope, Kingston Alimah, Ahmad, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
